Crozon-Morgat - Finistére, Brittany
The Crozon peninsular is a narrow piece of land with the Brest estuary to the north and the bay of Douarnenez to the south. The beaches, estuary, and ports are beautiful and inspoilt. The coastal walking is stunning, there are varied beaches catering for surfing, windsurfing, sand yachting, fishing, diving, canoeing, or family beaching
Eating Out
The house is in the market square and so there are several good restaurants close by. The port of Morgat is 5 minutes by car and has plenty of good seafood restaurants as does the port of Cameret-sur-mer which is 6 miles away.The famous French chef Olivier Bellin has a restaurant in the village of Plomodien about 15 miles from Crozon.
Directions From Roscoff Ferry Port
- If you take the Brittany Ferries route of Plymouth to Roscoff then this is a short route to Crozon, the following link will provide you with the relevant maps
- From the ferry port take the D58 towards St. Pol De Leon
- Continue until the round about with directions for D788 towards Stang and Kervren
- At Kevren take a left onto the D69 towards Landivisiau
- At Landivisiau take the D30 towards Sizun
- From Sizun take the D18 towards La Faou
- Go through La Faou to find the D791, it is a turning to your right opposite the Hotel de Ville
- Follow this road along the estuary across the bridge on to the Crozon peninsular to Tal-Ar-Groas.
- At Tal-Ar-Groas take the D887 to Crozon.
- When you arrive at Crozon drive to the centre of the town and follow the one way system around the market square. The church is in the centre of the market square. The entrance door is in between the Poisonnerie (fishmonger) and the Boulangerie (bakers). There is restricted parking here but there is, but if you cannot park here there is ample parking on the other side of the church, approximately 200 metres away.
